Opening post– hello, and g’day from Australia. Every blog needs a good reason for being. Here is mine:

Jacqueline Du Pres playing Elgar’s cello concerto, first movement. I took up cello a few months ago and think that this music is sublime. Classical music– it’s not a usual reason for writing, but it’s a reason for being brave and stepping into the blogsphere. Here we go.
